TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Information due to Covid-19 as of 18th March 2020.

If you have a booking with Olly Motorcaravan Specialist (OMS), we would like to reassure you of the procedures we have set in place prior to your booking.  We intend to make every precaution to protect both you and ourselves by carrying out the following:

Individual telephone call, text or email prior to booking to establish current risk and requirements.

Wearing of gloves and use of bacterial spray and wipes (PPE).

Maintaining at least a two metre distance, therefore requesting that your vehicle be unlocked with keys left in a safe place (pre-arranged).

Any discussion required during the site visit can be done via telephone and therefore a contact number supplied and requested.

All paperwork will be left inside the vehicle on completion.

We would request that payment be made via bank transfer where details will be on the invoice.

Should the government guidelines change, we may amend this policy.

If however, you feel you would be more comfortable to postpone or cancel your appointment, please notify OMS at any time.

Should you become ill with the coronavirus symptoms, please inform OMS when we call you prior to your booking to re-arrange: we also reserve the right to cancel or postpone if we too are suffering any symptoms.

Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us on 07837451520 or email paul.butler@ollyvan.co.uk.

Most importantly everyone STAY SAFE is our priority.

Appointments/Contact

Olly runs a mobile workshop and therefore a large proportion of communication is via mobile telephone.  However, emails and text messages are regularly monitored.  All telephone conversations can be confirmed via email or written correspondence, if requested. Once the appointment is confirmed, either by email or direct telephone contact with Paul Butler (also referred to as Olly), you enter an agreement under OMSTerms and Conditions for Olly to carry out a repair/inspection/service to your leisure vehicle (motorhome, caravan, trailer tent, horse box).  OMS reserves the right to apply a minimum charge of the current hourly rate plus VAT in the instance of the vehicle not in/available or you have changed your mind.

Should there be a problem with the appointment, please notify OMS within 7 days.

Access

The technician requires full access to the Caravan/Motorhome with a work space of 3 feet (2 meters) all around the unit.

Please ensure that all wheel clamps, hitch locks and other safety devices are removed or switched off prior to OMS arrival or access to keys for removal of these items. Should access not be possible and we are not able to remove such devices or be able to gain access to items or unit, a charge will be applied.

Level Working Area

For Health and Safety reasons, Olly requires a level work surface to enable him to work safely. If this is not evident, a new appointment will be suggested.

Toilet

This needs to be empty and cleaned or it will not be serviced.

Condition Inspection Report

This will be carried out prior to work commencing and any damage or stains noted on OMS sheets.  A signature will be required before Olly can start work on your unit.  Should you not be available, the report will be forwarded to you via email or other methods, with photographs.  Confirmation will be required from you prior to the work being started.

Safety

All of the work carried out will be of a very high standard, for everyone's safety.

Workmanship

Olly Motorcaravan Specialist's workmanship is carried out in line with the NCC approved workshop scheme regulations for the mobile workshop.  Water ingress/damp repairs carried out by OMS have a 12 month goodwill warranty, on the basis that a damp test is carried out by OMS within 3-6 months following the repair, and or notification received from an AWS approved workshop detailing the issues with the repair, within this timeframe.  It is also suggested that any high-pressure cleaning only be carried out by an experienced caravan/motorhome cleaner, as incorrect use can result in sealer/repair breakdown issues.  It is also recommended that all servicing is carried out in line with the manufacturer's instructions and/or have an annual habitation service check.

Estimates

OMS offers free assessment estimates if/when in your area or at OMS workshop premises in Newtown, Hampshire.  All prices quoted verbally or written are subject to VAT.  Written confirmation or a fully detailed estimate of work will be supplied by request.

Sale of Goods

As we are a mobile servicing workshop, parts will be fitted within an hour's drive radius of our registered business address in Hampshire.  To uphold the warranty on these parts they are not to be touched by any other technician not approved by OMS.  This will up hold the products' warranty.  Should this be a problem, the leisure vehicle is to be within the radius or returned to the OMS workshop based in Newtown, Hampshire, to enable OMS to fix the problem.

Labour carries a 6-month goodwill warranty, and parts are 12 months or supplier terms.

Parts

OMS will not fit second-hand items unless the part is out of production.  OMS offers no guarantee on these parts as it is the customer's liability.

All special order parts need to be paid upfront and are not refundable.

Faults

Should a fault be found during a service, which does not form part of the standard servicing schedule, OMS will notify you at the end of the service to see if you want the fault rectified should time allow.  You will be provided with an estimate for the cost of labour and parts.  OMS will then seek permission to proceed.  Should he not have the parts nor the time available, a new appointment will be made to return for completion of the job.

Payment

OMS accepts payment by Cash, BACS or cheque.

Payment is due after the work has been completed or within 5 days of invoice date by prior agreement.  If there is any additional work that needs to be carried out, this may be an additional cost and might have to be rescheduled for another time.  This would be due to time constraints and parts availability.

Cancellation

Should you wish to cancel your appointment, please notify OMS within 7 days of your appointment so we can offer the time slot to other customers.  We will, however, wish to rearrange a more suitable time to suit your needs.

Should it be necessary for Olly to change the appointment, OMS will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and endeavour to provide an alternative appointment, where practicable. If OMS amends or cancels your booked appointment, you will be offered another appointment at the same price or, if paid in advance the amount will be refunded.  However, compensation payments will not be payable to you in any circumstances.

Complaints should initially be done via direct contact with OMS via telephone, email, text or letter and OMS will endeavour to resolve immediately or in a timely manner.
